  帕特里克亨利社区学院(Patrick Henry Community College)是一所公立的两年制综合教育学院,建于1962年。

  学院最初是弗吉尼亚普通教育大学的一个两年制的分部,后来变成该大学的一个独立学院,1969年学院搬至现在的校址,1971年知识资源中心建成。

  学院已有40多年的历史,共为30000多名当地居民提供过教育,满足他们提高技术、增长知识、增强能力的要求。

  帕特里克亨利社区学院(马丁斯维尔)仍在不断地成长扩大,专业也在不断地增加。学院提供基本文理科教育、职业教育、技术教育、员工水平发展课程,涉及的领域十分广泛。

  ALICE LESTER MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is awarded to a full-time student with first priority being given to residents of the counties of Henry, Patrick, Franklin or the city of Martinsville. Preference is given to students in the following curriculums: business, nursing, occupational/technical, applied science, or engineering technology. PHCC students who continue their education with an affiliated on-campus program of a four-year institution may qualify.

  ALMA M. DILLON MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to deserving students who are enrolled in the Horticulture program. Students must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA and must have demonstrated community service.

  ARCHIE W. VIPPERMAN MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship fund was established through contributions made in memory of Archie Vipperman. The scholarship is awarded to full-time students who demonstrate financial need. The recipients must be Virginia residents who have and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and who plan to pursue a four-year degree.

  BARBARA EMMETT RICHMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship will be available to a student who has been accepted into the nursing program or who is a pre-med student. The student is required to be full-time and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA.

  BETA SIGMA PHI, VIRGINIA XI EPSILON CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a financially and an academically deserving female student who is 25 years of age or older. Applicants must be full-time and have attained a 3.0 grade point average.

  BETTY JANE SIMPSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student enrolled in the nursing program. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  BILL BRAMMER MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to qualified and deserving full-time students who demonstrate financial need. Priority will be given to employees or dependents of employees of Bassett Furniture, then to Bassett High School graduates. Recipients must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.

  BLUE RIDGE HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is an employee or a dependent of an employee of a Blue Ridge Human Resources Association member company. Students must have a 3.0 GPA.

  CAROLYN R. ADAMS, RN, NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student enrolled in the second year of the RN program. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA. A letter of recommendation is required from a member of the PHCC nursing faculty member describing the applicant’s commitment to patient care. In addition, an essay from the student is required addressing specific nursing issues.

  CHARLES C. BASSETT III MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to students who are residents of Martinsville or Henry County and are enrolled in Business Administration, Business Technology/Management, or Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD)。 Students must have a 3.0 GPA.

  CHARLES STEVEN MARTIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to an entering Freshman student who graduated from Patrick County High School. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA, demonstrated community service, and be enrolled full time.

  CHRISTOPHER J. PARKER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student with a 3.0 GPA if a current PHCC student or a 3.5 GPA if a current High School graduate. Student will be expected to make a presentation to the Foundation Board at the fall meeting.

  CHRISTOPHER M. ABERCROMBIE MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to qualified students who are graduates of a high school in Martinsville or Henry County and who are enrolled as full-time students (12 hour minimum) in the college transfer program. Preference is given to children of Virginia Mirror Company, Inc. employees. The scholarship is awarded annually.

  CINDY DEAL MEDICAL OFFICE SPECIALIZATION SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled in the Administrative Support Technology, Medical Office Specialization. Students must be a native of Martinsville or Henry County and have a 2.0 GPA.

  CMP-HR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP is awarded to a resident or native of Patrick County. Students must be a graduate of Patrick County High School and a first year student at PHCC. Students must be enrolled in a transfer curriculum planning to major in Electrical Engineering, provide 2 letters of recommendation, and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  CMP-HR HUMAN RESOURCES SCHOLARSHIP is awarded to a resident or native of Patrick County. Students must be a graduate of Patrick County High School and a first year student at PHCC. Students must be enrolled in a transfer curriculum planning to major in Human Resources or Business, provide 2 letters of recommendation, and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

  COMMUNITY SERVICE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to students who have a demonstrated commitment to community service by ongoing participation in volunteer activities and students who have diagnosed, documented ADD or learning disabilities and who are involved in community service. Recipients must maintain a CGPA of 2.5 at PHCC.

  DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (DAR) SCHOLARSHIP: The Patrick Henry Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution awards a scholarship to a deserving student selected by the Financial Aid Advisory Committee. Recipient must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Martinsville or Henry County.

  DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (DAR) SCHOLARSHIP: The General Joseph Martin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution awards a scholarship to a deserving student enrolled in the educational field. Applicants must be residents of Martinsville/Henry County, attain a 2.0 overall average and demonstrate financial need. Must submit letter of recommendation attesting to DAR qualities.

  DAVID A. SWANSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a resident of Martinsville or Henry County with preference given to students enrolled in the Business or Education curriculum. Recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and provide 2 letters of recommendation.

  DEAN DAVID DEAL TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to student who is enrolled in the Information Technology curriculum. Preference is given to a graduate of Martinsville High School. Student must be enrolled full time and have a 2.5 GPA.

  DEAN HODGES WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who has met entrance requirements for a non-credit workforce development certification program and who is not eligible for other training funds.

  DILLOW-MEADOR SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in a degree or certificate program who is in good academic standing. Recipient must demonstrate financial need and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

  DR ANGELINE GODWIN AND JIM HATTEN PRESIDENTIAL LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP:This scholarship is awarded to a student who is a member of the Presidential Student Leadership Cabinet. Student must have significant community service involvement, extracurricular activity, documented and/or innovative activity, and specific leadership experience. Student must have a high school GPA of 3.5 or higher and a PHCC GPA of 3.0 or higher. One letter of recommendation must be submitted from teaching faculty or administration.

  DR. J.W. CLARK MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: The scholarship is awarded to qualified and deserving full-time students who express the intention of entering a medical field. Students in pre-med, nursing, biological sciences, medical/health technology, or health-related programs are eligible. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

  DR. JETHRO HURT IRBY ENDOWED NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarships are awarded annually to deserving students preparing for a career in nursing. Students must be enrolled for at least 9 credit hours and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  DR. JOHN D. FRENCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarships are awarded to deserving students who are preparing for careers in the medical field. You must be a full-time nursing student and have a 2.5 GPA.

  DR KRISTEN AND MARK WESTOVER VICE PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) curriculum. Student must have taken a minimum of 6 developmental education credits and have a 3.0 GPA.

  DR RON AND WENDY EPPERLY FAMILY SOFTBALL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a female student athlete who is a signed member of the PHCC Softball team. Student must be enrolled full time and have a 3.0 GPA.

  EASTMAN CHEMICAL CENTER for ADVANCED FILM MANUFACTURING SCHOLARHIP: This scholarship is awarded to students that are enrolled in the certification course in Advanced Film Manufacturing who have a 2.75 GPA.

  ELLEN P GALE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled in the Business or Education curriculum with a 2.5 GPA and demonstrated financial need.

  ENTRE NOUS BOOK CLUB SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a resident of Martinsville or Henry County who demonstrates financial need and maintains a 2.5 grade point average. Preference is given to students planning to pursue English major.

  EVELYN LAWING EDUCATIONAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to deserving students who reside within a 200-mile radius of the Henry County Clerks Office. Recipient must maintain 2.0 GPA. Family income must be less than $80,000 if one college student is enrolled and less than $95,000 if two or more college students are enrolled.

  F. L. OWENS MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship will be awarded to a student who has been accepted in Business Technology and can demonstrate financial need. Recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  FIGSBORO-PLEASANT GROVE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship was established by the Figsboro-Pleasant Grove Home Demonstration Club. Two scholarships are given to students living within 25 miles of the Franklin County-Henry County line on state road 108-890 in all directions. Preference is given to students living in the Franklin County or Figsboro communities. Applicants must have attained a 2.0 grade point average, demonstrate financial need, be of good character and be active in the community.

  FRANK J. STILL SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who demonstrates financial need and maintains a 2.0 GPA.

  FRIENDS OF DREWRY MASON SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student who is a graduate of a Martinsville or Henry County school. Recipient must show financial need and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  GARY AND SUSAN COLLINS MENS BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete is a signed member of the PHCC Men’s Basketball team. Preference is given to a student enrolled in a Business curriculum. Student must be enrolled full time, in good standing with the team, and have a 2.75 GPA or higher.

  GARY AND SUSAN COLLINS WOMENS BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete is a signed member of the PHCC Women’s Basketball team. Preference is given to a student enrolled in a Business curriculum. Student must be enrolled full time, in good standing with the team, and have a 2.75 GPA or higher.

  GARY AND SUSAN COLLINS MENS SOCCER SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete is a signed member of the PHCC Men’s Soccer team. Preference is given to a student enrolled in a Business curriculum. Student must be enrolled full time, in good standing with the team, and have a 2.75 GPA or higher.

  GARY AND SUSAN COLLINS MENS BASEBALL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete is a signed member of the PHCC Men’s Baseball team. Preference is given to a student enrolled in a Business curriculum. Student must be enrolled full time, in good standing with the team, and have a 2.75 GPA or higher.

  GENE HAAS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to students who are enrolled in the General Engineering or Motorsports curriculum. Students must be enrolled full time, have a 3.0 GPA, and provide a letter of recommendation from a high school or college faculty member or administrator.

  GREG AND RENEE HODGES SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who has successfully completed developmental education credits. Priority is given to students planning a career in the Education field. Students must be enrolled full time and have a 2.5 GPA.

  GRETCHEN FREEMAN SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student who is enrolled full-time in the nursing field. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 GPA.

  H. CLAY EARLES ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is awarded each year to an entering freshman who attained at least a "B" average upon graduating from high school.

  H. EARL BULLARD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to residents of the Fieldale area who are at least 25 years of age. Recipients must demonstrate community involvement and financial need. Recipients must maintain good academic standing.

  H. GRADY MOORE, JR. MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a female student who is participating in the athletic program and maintain at least 2.0 GPA. Recipient must be attending PHCC full time.

  HARDWORKING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to students who are currently employed full time and are a valued employee. Students must have a 3.0 GPA. Priority is given to students ineligible for Federal or State aid due to income. Students must submit a letter of recommendation from their employer.

  HELEN B. RACEY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a needy student in the educational field. Student must be enrolled full-time.

  HENRY COUNTY ROTARY CLUB ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship was established by the Henry County Rotary Club to be awarded to a PHCC full-time student who is enrolled in a degree or certificate program. The recipient must reside in Martinsville or Henry County, must maintain a 2.5 grade point average, and must demonstrate financial need. Recipient must agree to have picture published in local media as recipient of scholarship.

  HENRY COUNTY ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP: The Henry County Rotary Club awards a scholarship to an entering PHCC freshman who has at least a cumulative 2.5 grade point average. Must be a Martinsville or Henry County high school graduate.

  THE HONORABLE GERALD R. BALILES COMMONWEALTH LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship will be available to first time, full time students who will enroll and attend Patrick Henry Community College in Fall 2014 and Spring 2015. Students must demonstrate academic excellence during high school and have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students must also demonstrate potential for public service and commitment to developing civic leadership. Two letters of recommendation are required from teachers, community leaders, or employers along with an official sealed copy of their high school transcript and a student statement. A separate application will be available online beginning April 1 and must be completed and returned to the PHCC Foundation Office in Frith Room 146.

  HUMAN SERVICES SCHOLARSHIP: Students must be enrolled in the Human Services certificate program. Must have a 2.5 GPA and must demonstrate financial need.

  IRVING M. GROVES, JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a needy or deserving student. Recipient must maintain a 2.0 GPA.

  J.D. BASSETT, SR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student who demonstrates financial need. Priority will be given to Henry County, Patrick County and Martinsville City residents. Preference will be given to students enrolled in a transfer curriculum.

  JACK A MULLINS SR. MEMORIAL ATHLETIC AND EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete who is enrolled in the Education curriculum and aspires to be a Teacher. Student must be enrolled full time and be in good standing with their athletic team. Student must have a 2.75 GPA.

  JEFF AND TRACY FIELDS APPLIED SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student with demonstrated financial need.

  JESSIE FRYE RHODES NURSING UNIFORM SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the RN or PN nursing programs. Students must be a resident of the PHCC service area. Students must have demonstrated financial need and have a 2.5 GPA.

  JESSIE FRYE RHODES NURSING TEXTBOOK SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the RN and PN nursing programs. Students must be a resident of the PHCC service area. Students must have demonstrated financial need and have a 2.5 GPA.

  JESSIE H KEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship was established by the family of Mrs. Key in her honor and will be presented at the LPN pinning ceremony. Recipient must plan to begin work in the geriatric field and award will help cover expenses of licensing exam, uniforms and nursing shoes.

  JESSIE FRYE RHODES NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to nursing students who are in the final semester and eligible for graduation from the PN and RN program. Recipients must demonstrate financial need, have a 3.0 GPA, reside in the PHCC service area, and submit an additional essay. The donor requests funds awarded be applied to the cost of NCLEX testing.

  JOHN & SALLY HANBURY VICE PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the Business Administration, Accounting, or Legal Assisting program with a 2.5 GPA and demonstrated financial need.

  JULIE MEADOR HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship was established in honor of Julie Meador by her husband, Robert Meador. A scholarship will be given annually to a student who is enrolled in a certificate or degree program at PHCC and maintains a 3.0 GPA. Priority will be given to a student living with a potentially disabling condition or who is the primary caretaker of a disabled relative.

  KATE LEGARD HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP: Established by Albert Prillaman in honor of Kate Legard, an administrative assistant who retired from Stanley Furniture Company. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who maintains a 3.0 GPA and is a resident of Martinsville and Henry County.

  KATHLEEN SMITH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is given to a student having at least a 2.0 grade point average and enrolled full-time. Student must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program and demonstrate financial need.

  KATHY WHITLEY HONORARY NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a second year nursing student with a 2.5 GPA. A letter of recommendation is required from a member of the nursing faculty.

  KIWANIS GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is a graduate of Bassett, Martinsville, or Magna Vista High School. The student must be enrolled full time and have a 3.0 GPA.

  LLOYD S. SWAIN MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a deserving student who demonstrates financial need and is enrolled in the electronics/electrical technology program. Student must be maintain a 2.5 GPA.

  MARGUERITE R. HAMMACK SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing a career in education and be able to maintain a 3.0 GPA. Must be a Virginia resident enrolled full-time.

  MARTINSVILLE DUPONT CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is given to a sophomore student enrolled in business curriculum. Student must be enrolled full-time, demonstrate financial need, and maintain a 2.0 GPA.

  MARTINSVILLE HENRY COUNTY LIONS CLUB ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student enrolled in a degree or certificate program. The student must have a 2.5 GPA and be a resident of the city of Martinsville or Henry County. First preference will be given to the son, daughter or grandchild of a current Martinsville Lions Club member; second preference will be given to the son, daughter or grandchild of any past member; third preference will be given to the son, daughter or grandchild of a current member of any Lions Club. Preference will also be given to students pursuing a career in medicine, nursing or a health-related field.

  MARTINSVILLE ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP: Students must be enrolled full-time and maintain a 2.0 GPA, provide a list of completed courses and achievements. Must provide letter stating goals and ambitions and why they are deserving of scholarship. Preference is given to students with community involvement.

  MAX & ROSLYN WINGETT ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete. Recipient must be enrolled full time and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  MIKE ROGERS HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled in the Administration of Justice curriculum. The student must be enrolled full time and have a 2.5 GPA.

  MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OF MHC VOLUNTEER AUXILIARY BOARD NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a City of Martinsville resident and a Henry County resident who is enrolled in the PN or RN program. Recipients must demonstrate financial need, be enrolled full time and maintain a 2.5 GPA. The award can be used for tuition, books, and associated nursing program fees.

  MYRTIS AND JACK LESTER SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship will be awarded to a worthy part-time student who demonstrates financial need. Recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  MYSTICAL RIDERS MOTORCYCLE ORGANIZATION SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship was established by the Mystical Riders Motorcycle Organization who is a non-profit organization that engages people from all walks of life that have two common interest - the motorcycle and becoming more active in addressing the priority needs of our community. By charity fund raising, investing funds, and volunteering service, the organization is committed to making a positive impact for those who need it most while promoting a positive image of the motorcycle community. The student must maintain a 2.0 GPA and attach a biographical statement of school, church or community involvement. Student must also attach an essay on "How To Improve Your Community" and a letter of reference from a PHCC faculty member.

  PAUL GRUBB MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is awarded to a student in the Administration of Justice program who is enrolled for at least six semester credits. The student should demonstrate financial need and have attained at least a 2.0 overall grade point average.

  PEGGY SPENCER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Established by Albert Prillaman in memory of Peggy Spencer who was employed at Stanley Furniture Company from 1958-1991 as an administrative assistant. Peggy Spencer exemplified efficiency and professionalism. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who maintains a 3.0 GPA and is a resident of Martinsville and Henry County.

  RIVER COMMUNITY BANK N.A. SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a graduate of Martinsville, Bassett, Magna Vista, Patrick County High School or the Carlisle school. Student must be enrolled full time and have a 2.5 GPA.

  ROSLYN WINGETT VISUAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIP:  This scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled in the General Studies, Visual Arts Specialization curriculum. Students must be full time and present a portfolio during a committee interview.

  ROY C. STONE MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a qualified full-time student who demonstrates financial need and has at least a 2.5 grade point average.

  SAMUEL BYRD AND BEATRICE MINTER MAY MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is awarded to a full-time student enrolled in a degree or certificate program who resides in the community of Fieldale. Students should demonstrate financial need and attain at least a 2.0 overall average.

  SANDRA MOORE ESTES MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the RN or PN nursing programs. Preference is given to students who are single mothers. An additional essay submission is required.

  SARAH L. MANSFIELD, RN, MEMORIAL NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a first year student in Fall semester and a second year student in the Spring semester. Recipients must be enrolled in the RN program with preference given to displaced homemakers. An additional essay submission is required. Funds awarded can be used for supportive services such as uniforms, shoes, NCLEX study guide, and the cost of state boards.

  SELLS, HOGG, AND ASSOCIATES SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in a Business curriculum with a 2.5 GPA.

  SLATE-WILSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: A scholarship is awarded to a full-time student who is a dependent of a full-time Martinsville city employee. Recipients must have a 2.5 GPA.

  SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE GARDEN CLUB HORTICULTURAL ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the Horticulture, Viticulture, or Agribusiness curriculum. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and have a 2.0 GPA at time of application. Student must provide 2 letters of recommendation, 1 which must be from someone involved in the Horticulture, Viticulture, or Agribusiness field or curriculum.

  STANLEY FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship will be given to a resident of the Bassett/Stanleytown area enrolling as a Freshman in an occupational or technical program. May be renewable for a second year provided the student maintains good academic standing at the college.

  STEVE BRANCH STEM SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the General Engineering Technologies curriculum. Student must be enrolled full time and have a 2.5 GPA.

  SYLVIA ADAMS NURSING SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a nursing student who has good academic standing. Preference will be given to students who plan to work in the nursing field in the Henry County area.

  VA TOBACCO INDEMNIFICATION AND COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR TOBACCO FARMERS: Must be a Tobacco farmer, have an immediate family member who is a Tobacco Farmer, or have an occupation that is related to the decline or loss of Tobacco production since the year 2000. Immediate family is defined as: father, mother, step-father, step-mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, step-grandfather, step-grandmother. Student must also maintain good academic standing. To receive this scholarship the student must have applied for and used all other financial assistance prior to Tobacco funds.

  VIRGINIA FIREFIGHTERS FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarships are awarded to a Virginia firefighter or dependent of a Virginia firefighter.

  VIRGINIA TECH TRANSFER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is in their final semester of studies who intends to transfer to Virginia Tech. Recipient must have been enrolled in a transfer program of study, have a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate intention of their transfer and enrollment at Virginia Tech.

  VIRGINIA TRANSFORMER CORPORATION SCHOLARSHIP: Students must be a resident of Patrick County. Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA in Math & Science courses and have an overall GPA of 3.2. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a transfer program majoring in Math & Science careers such as Industrial Electronics, General Engineering, Information Systems Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Pre-Med, or Mathematics. An essay addressing specific questions is required.

  WALTER N. MORRIS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates financial need and maintains at least 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to a resident of Henry County, Patrick County, or the City of Martinsville.

  WANDA PARKER AND MARGARET MULLINS EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the Education curriculum who is planning to be a Teacher. Students must have a 2.75 GPA.

  WAYNE HALEY MEMORIAL GOLF SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete who is a signed member of the PHCC Golf team. Student must be enrolled full time and have a 3.0 GPA.

  WELLS FARGO CNA SCHOLARSHIP:  This scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the core CNA program. Students must have a 2.5 GPA and demonstrated financial need. Priority is given to dislocated workers.

  WESLEY F. MARTIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Award to student who demonstrates financial need. Student must be enrolled in Education program and must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

  WILEY T. NANCE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to qualified students who demonstrate financial need and must be in good academic standing. Must have a 2.0 GPA.

  WILLIAM F. STONE, SR. MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to qualified students who demonstrate financial need and who exhibit the following traits and characteristics: personal honesty and good moral character; demonstrated willingness to work hard; respect for others as well as oneself as exhibited by neatness and personal grooming; and perceived commitment to improve oneself and one's station in life by personal efforts. Must provide letter of recommendation from a non-relative attesting to the above qualities.

  WILLIAM LETCHER PANNILL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who demonstrate financial need and have at least a 2.5 GPA.

  WILLIAM R. JAMISON, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Students must be enrolled full-time in the Administration of Justice program at PHCC. Must demonstrate financial need and must have a 2.5 GPA.

  WOOD BROTHERS HONORARY SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled in the Motorsports curriculum. The student must be enrolled full time and have a 2.5 GPA.
