由于国际学生不能获取联邦政府及各州设立的奖学金，但可以申请学校内部的奖学金。

　　Claiming Scholarships

　　Scholarships disbursed at College of the Sequoias come from many sources including; our COS scholarships, high school scholarships, organizations, clubs, and individuals. When you receive a scholarship that you wish to use at COS, you must request that scholarship by filling out an Enrollment and GPA Verification Release form. This form enables our office to verify that you meet the criteria of the scholarship you have been awarded and, if necessary, to request that scholarship funds be transferred from the donor to COS.

　　The  Enrollment and GPA Verification Release form is available in your award packet from COS, from the COS Scholarship office or online. Incoming COS students or Continuing COS students fill out the form except the lower left corner. This area is reserved for Transfer students who need to have the 4-year college or university fill in the information. We will need a verification of enrollment in the Spring from these Transfer students as well.

　　The form needs to be completed and returned to the Scholarship office as soon as possible.

　　Some possible causes of delay in receiving scholarship funds are:

　　The  Enrollment and GPA Verification Release has not been submitted.

　　Funds have not been received from the donor. Until our office receives funds, we are unable to disburse a scholarship. They require a Confirmation of Enrollment before they will issue the funds to COS. Students may speed up the process by submitting evidence of enrollment themselves.

　　The “drop date” for each semester has not occurred yet. This is the last day students may drop classes without it appearing on their transcript. No Scholarships cannot be processed until verification of enrollment has been completed.

　　We are waiting for information from the student to ensure that all scholarship criteria is met.
